The Difference
There's a Reason Women Are Retiring Their Flat Irons
Most straightening brushes make the same promise. What separates Velvette is what's underneath — cool-tipped ceramic bristles, ionic and far-infrared heat that works into the strand, and a digital display that holds your exact temperature instead of drifting. If it doesn't do that for you, send it back. No forms, no fuss.

Got Questions? We've Got You Covered
Will this work on fine hair that goes limp?
Will this work on fine hair that goes limp?
Yes — Velvette's digital display lets you set an exact temperature from 80°C to 230°C, so you can run it low on fine hair without over-processing. Most fine-haired users sit around 150°C, which is enough to smooth without stripping the shine out of the strand.

Velvette's bristles are cool-tipped, so the parts your scalp and fingers actually touch stay cool while the plate underneath does the heating. There's no clamping and no hot plate pressed against your hand — you brush, and the heat stays where it should.
I've never been able to straighten my own hair. Is this beginner-friendly?
I've never been able to straighten my own hair. Is this beginner-friendly?
It's the easiest straightening tool to learn on. You hold it like a normal hairbrush and brush from root to tip — no clamping, no sectioning drills, no twisting your wrist to angle a plate. Most people get a decent result on their first try.
How long does the smooth finish last?
How long does the smooth finish last?
Typically a full day, and often into the next if you sleep on it carefully. Humidity is the real variable — the ionic and far-infrared heat helps the strand hold its shape rather than reabsorbing moisture, but heavy damp weather will always shorten the hold.
Can I use it on coloured or chemically treated hair?
Can I use it on coloured or chemically treated hair?
Yes, with the temperature dialled down. Coloured and chemically treated hair is more porous, so start at the lower end of the range — around 150–170°C — and only go higher if you need it. Always use a heat protectant first.
Does it work on thick or coarse hair?
Does it work on thick or coarse hair?
That's where it performs best. Thick and coarse hair takes the high end of the range, 200–230°C, and the dense bristle field grips enough of each section to smooth it in one or two passes. Very short pixie cuts are the one exception — there isn't enough length to glide through.
